Privacy Policy

Effective · Last updated

This Privacy Policy explains what information Skaboom Studios (“Skaboom Studios”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use our games and this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to all Skaboom Studios titles, including 20-7 Pro and Tank Fight, on Google Play and the Apple App Store.

The short version
We collect the minimum needed to run the games, keep them stable, and show ads. We never sell your personal information. You can play most content without an account, ask us to delete your data at any time, and children’s accounts never receive personalised advertising.

1. Who we are

Skaboom Studios is an independent game developer based in India and is the data controller for the information described here. Contact us at hello@skaboomstudios.com for any privacy question or request.

2. Information we collect

We do not ask for your real name, postal address, or payment card details. Depending on the features you use, the following may be collected:

Account information — if you choose to sign in
Email address and a display name, or the player ID supplied by Google Play Games Services or Apple Game Center. Used to identify your profile, sync progress, and place you on leaderboards. Signing in is optional.
Game progress and cloud save
Levels reached, scores, settings, in-game currency and unlocks, stored so you can restore progress on a new device. Held on Google Firebase servers and linked to your account or player ID.
Device and technical data
Device model, operating system version, language, country, app version, coarse region, and a resettable advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID / Apple IDFA). Used for compatibility, crash triage, and advertising as described below.
Analytics and gameplay events
Anonymous or pseudonymous events such as session length, level start and completion, menu taps, and feature use. We use these in aggregate to see where a game is too hard, too slow, or broken.
Crash and diagnostic reports
Stack traces, device state at the moment of a crash, and performance metrics, collected automatically after a failure so the bug can be fixed.
Advertising data
Our games show ads supplied by third-party networks. Those networks may process your advertising identifier, IP address, and ad interaction data to select and measure ads. See section 5.
Support correspondence
When you email us we keep your address, your message, and any screenshots or logs you send, for as long as needed to resolve the issue and keep a record of it.

3. Why we use it, and our legal basis

We use the information above to provide and operate the games (performance of a contract), to keep them secure and stable and to prevent cheating or abuse (legitimate interests), to answer your support requests (contract and legitimate interests), and to show personalised advertising or optional analytics where the law requires permission (your consent). Where consent is the basis, you can withdraw it at any time in the in-game privacy settings or through your device’s tracking controls.

4. What we never do

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not knowingly collect precise location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera data. We do not build advertising profiles of users we know to be children. We do not use your gameplay data for any purpose unrelated to running and improving our games.

5. Third-party services we rely on

We use a small number of established providers. Each processes data under its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to read:

These providers may store or process data outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union. Where such transfers involve personal data from the EEA or UK, they are covered by the providers’ Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.

6. Advertising choices

Ads keep our games free. If you would rather not see personalised ads, you can opt out on Android under Settings → Privacy → Ads, and on iOS by declining the App Tracking Transparency prompt or turning off Allow Apps to Request to Track. You will still see ads, but they will be non-personalised. In regions requiring it, we present a consent dialogue on first launch and honour your answer.

7. Children

Some of our titles are suitable for a mixed audience that includes children. In any experience directed to children, or for any user we identify as a child, we serve only non-personalised, child-appropriate advertising, disable analytics-based ad targeting, and do not request an account or an email address. Full detail is in our Children’s Privacy notice.

8. How long we keep data

Cloud saves and account records are kept while your account is active and for up to 24 months after your last session, then deleted. Analytics events are retained in aggregate for up to 26 months. Crash reports are kept up to 12 months. Support emails are kept up to 24 months. A deletion request overrides these periods, except where we must retain something to meet a legal obligation.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, withdraw a consent you gave, or complain to your data protection authority. Residents of India may exercise the rights available under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023; residents of the EEA and UK under the GDPR; residents of California under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.

To exercise any of these, write to hello@skaboomstudios.com or use the data deletion request page. We respond within 30 days and never charge for a first request.

10. Security

Data in transit is encrypted with TLS, and stored data sits behind the access controls of our hosting providers with credentials limited to the developer. No system is perfect, so if a breach ever affects your personal data we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data we will update this page and the date above, and for material changes we will show a notice in the game on next launch. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the updated policy.
